My name is Angelo Maggioni. I had my first contact with computers and software development at School in the late seventies where I got my polytechnic degree in Information Technologies.
At that time computers were not really very handy even if the Digital PDP-11 we used was quite modern.
After finishing school I took my first job as Programmer on an IBM S/34, one of the most used system in the business at that time and capable of handling multiusers. In those days a developer was able to develop everything: front-end, back-end, database.
After few years developing applications on IBM Midrange Systems, my professional career took a turn toward management and other business assignments.
In the last years I rediscovered my interest for software development and started learning the “modern” technologies: Java, Java EE, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and so on.
The reason for this blog is that writing force me to get deeply into the subjects. I hope this is also helping you to improve your knowledge.
